Agua del Sol Mexicano was produced by maestro mezcalero Raul Garcia , who was one of the original producers to inspire the creation of the mezcaleria CUISH. His family has made mezcal for several generations in San Guillermo, but in 1996 he emigrated to the US to support his family. He left behind several batches of mezcal which upon his return would be the basis for the creation of the CUISHE brand. He returned many years ago, and now produces mezcal using a horse-drawn tahona, sabino wood fermentors, and a copper still with refrescadera.
