This special release of estate grown Chato, (A. Angustilfolia) is one of the several agaves that were utilized in the production of tequila prior to 1964.
This unique bottle exclusive for Old Town Tequila has been aged for 20 months in ex-bourbon barrel No. 10, and bottled at cask strength with a total of 113 liters.
Aromas of caramel dipped crisp green apples abound with flavors of butter pecan toffee, juicy ripe peaches, Swiss milk chocolate, and California sundried apricots. An oily mouth feel contrasts the higher proof making this agave distillate frisky yet affectionate, like a thorny English rose.
