Description

Casa Dragones Barrel Blend Anejo Tequila, 100% Blue Agave anejo tequila, achieves its distinctive character from being matured in two different wood barrels, new French Oak and new American Oak, each selected for their individual flavor and characteristics.
At the end of the aging process, both barrel styles are blended together to create infinite richness and an agave-forward taste profile that is both elegant and smooth.
This is a phenomenal new expression from Casa Dragones that any tequila aficionado will find astounding.  Whiskey and wine (especially chardonnay drinkers), will also appreciate the buttery smooth and elegant oak flavors.

It slots right in between the Joven and the Blanco. Can easily enjoy this as sipping tequila or with a splash of juice or club soda. Love it. And you are the only place I can find it!!

so lovely – one of the best I’ve ever tasted. like fine scotch

  3. Average tequila at best was hoping for something to replace my 1942, this didn’t even come close..

I completely agree with the previous reviewer, who stated “Average tequila at best was hoping for something to replace my 1942, this didn’t even come close.” I too was looking for a Tequila to replace 1942 and 1800 Milenio Extra Anejo; however, I was disappointed given the name Casa Drogones is behind this Tequila. I actually drank this Tequila along with the Casa Drogones Blanco, and the Anejo did not blow the Blanco away, as I had expected it would! I will not be purchasing the Casa Drogones Anejo again. Maybe they should have aged it more until it qualified for an extra Anejo.

I agree with the previous reviewer; this Tequila is “average at best”; must say I was disappointed considering this is a Casa Drogones Tequila, and the taste is eons and eons away from their Joven! I too thought I would be able to permanently replace Don Julio 1942 – not!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a huge fan of Cas Dragones, but this product was not what I expected. Drinks more like scotch. I did not care for it at all.

  7. Mark Miller

This is an outstanding new Anejo and Old Town Tequila comes through once again beating the marketplace on a new release fro toning and price.

  8. Vanessa

This is an extremely elegant tequila, that is extremely easy to sip. Sips like a fine cognac, large ice is all you need. Very natural taste without the super sugary taste most Anejo’s have these days. Can’t get enough of this!

I had high hopes for this one
given its price and reputation, but it finished 6th and 7th out of 7 in a blind tasting of anejo and extra anejo tequilas we did recently with three different tasters. It had a sharper, almost medicinal quality than the other tequilas we tried — not as smooth or smoky or rich. I won’t be buying it again.

This was a gift I received over the holidays. I was extremely disappointed, very harsh and medicinal and certainly not a premier sipping tequila. Cava de Oro Extra Anejo and Adictivo Extra Anejo would be my recommendation for far less money.
