Big fan of Estancia Raicilla from the very first taste. Raicilla is another agave spirit native to Mexico that is NOT Tequila.
Tasting Estancia is a sensory festival. The scent reminds you of the smoky smell of mezcal. The initial taste is peppery like tequila with a little smoke like mezcal, but then you detect this mineral / mint taste that engulfs all your taste buds. The aftertaste lasts for hours.
Estancia is a class act, an authentic Mexican drink that should be savored not gulped. Have yet to try it in a cocktail or with a chaser,…. simply because it is so good by itself. So smooth and light that you’d never guess it comes in at 90 proof. Everyone I’ve turned onto Estancia agrees. If you like tequila, you owe it to yourself to experience authentic Estancia Raicilla.

Phenomenal ! I would give it 5 stars, but this is my first experience with Raicilla. A little smoky, a little liquorice, a little mint, but all pleasently in the background . Very balanced. I loved it! Will buy more.

One of first products I tried when exploring other mezcals. It was a real surprise and I continue to rate it at the top of my list having tried many others by now. I sent this as a gift to a friend and he said it the best mezcal drink he has ever tasted. Obviously I like this stuff. I have bought several bottles, a couple as gifts. Two thumbs up.
